​     Each year the India Point Ashwinders award IPA MVP, Sportsmanship, Commitment, and Unsung Hero Awards.

 

    The IPA MVP Award is given to the player judged to the most valuable to his or her team for their performance on the field as voted on by his/her teammates.



2014: Chaser/Keeper Jeremy Work

2013: Chaser Moises Arriaga, Chaser David Kelvey, and Keeper Jeremy Work.

 



 

     The Sportsmanship Award is given to the player who exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship on the pitch: ethical behavior, fair play, integrity, and respect for everyone involved in the game, including but not limited to teammates, opponents, referees, and volunteers.  The recipient is determined by a team vote.

     The Commitment Award is given to the person in the organization judged to possess a burning passion for the India Point Ashwinders and they channel that passion into extraordinary efforts for the team on and/or off the pitch.  This includes, but is not limited to incredible effort and sacrifice in games, diligence in practice, willingness to volunteer time and/or resources, and initiative in recruiting, marketing, and providing and/or acting on ideas to improve the team in any fashion. The recipient is determined by a team vote.

    The Unsung Hero Award is given to the player judged to make substantial contributions to the team but does not often get the recognition for it as voted on by his/her teammates.

 

2014: Beater Rod Hasbun

2013: Beater/Chaser: Rod Hasbun, Beater Nate Kingston, and Beater/Chaser Brian Smith

 

 

 

The Most Improved Player Award is given to the player who is judged to have made the biggest strides in becoming a better player over the course of the year as voted on by his/her teammates.

 

2014: Chaser David Reich

 

 

 

The Rookie of the Year Award is given to the first-year player judged to have excelled on the pitch and brought the biggest impact to the team this season as judged by his/her veteran teammates.
