Because someone told me to try it, and I got hooked.
Greatest/funniest moment on the pitch: Staying on the field for far too long against Hofstra at regionals, and collapsing as soon as I got off it.

Favorite thing about Quidditch: How friendly everyone is, both friends on the team and all the people you meet at matches and tournaments.
Why did you join the team?
I've wanted to play Quidditch for a long time and once I arrived at college, I found the India Point Ashwinders and signed up right away.
Greatest/funniest moment on the pitch: The last game of NE Regionals '13 when I ran onto the pitch and caught a game-winning snitch.

My favorite thing about quidditch is the rapid pace of the game and how the different player positions are integrated.
Why did you join the team?
I joined the team because I liked the idea of the sport.
Greatest/funniest moment on the pitch: My funniest moments on the pitch are Beater standoffs. There's this brief hesitation from both players that's just really funny for some reason.

Favorite thing about Quidditch: Knowing that you and everyone of your teammaters gave everything they had on the pitch for each other regardless of the situation and the bonding that comes with that knowledge.
Why did you join the team?
I always wanted to but never had a chance to play team sports before college. When I heard about Quidditch I knew this was my chance. The sport is more fun and intense than I had imagined. Playing for and leading the Ashwinders has been one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done.
Greatest/funniest moment on the pitch: My girlfriend and I are approaching the Northeast Fantasy Tournament and upon seeing the full spectrum of colors that were the different teams (including a Glitter team), she says: “I love Quidditch. It’s like the Gay Pride Parade of sports.”

Favorite thing about Quidditch: I love the wonderful community and camaraderie that it fosters as well as its complexity and how it requires thought as well as physicality.
Why did you join the team? I started a quidditch team in high school (Long Beach Wonderbolts!) and fell in love and so knew that I needed to start playing quidditch in Providence as soon as possible.
Greatest/funniest moment on the pitch: Scoring the goal that got us enough points to beat Clark with a snitch catch during our last game at Northeast Regionals 2013.
